Program Description

There are two types of programs available for property aquisition; New Residential Development Program for Terre Haute and Site Recovery Program.

These programs permit the acquisition of properties by Purchase, Donation, transfer from the county in lieu of Tax Sale, or through Foreclosure of Lien.

Some properties are selected to have the titles insured and a four pin survey made available to developers for $1 or may be made available to adjoining property owners for a price of $50 per front foot of lot width.

Some properties are selected to be made available to adjoining property owner(s) at nominal costs without title insurance or survey.

Other properties may be made available for the appraised value.
