OPENINGS:
The Department of Redevelopment has completed construction of the Cherry Street Mult-Modal Transportation Facility at 750 Cherry Street. Larry Bird Avenue between 7th and 8th Street, 8th Street from Eagle Street to Cherry Street and Cherry Street from 7th Street to 9th Street are now open to through traffic. The Department of Redevelopment has completed road reconstruction on Beach Street from 29th Street to 31st Street. This street is now open to through traffic. If anyone should have any questions or comments, feel free to contact Dave Walker, at 232-0018 ext. 18.
CLOSINGS:
On April 18, 2008, The Department of Redevelopment will close 8th Avenue to through traffic from 29th Street to Kester Avenue. This closing is due to the installation of new sewers, curbs, sidewalks, tree removal and replacement, along with asphalt paving. This project is scheduled to re-open on or around September 1, 2008. On May 12, 2008, The Department of Redevelopment will close 27th and 28th Street to through traffic from Maple Avenue to Barbour Avenue. This closing is due to the installation of new sewers, curbs, sidewalks, tree removal and replacement, along with asphalt paving. This project is scheduled to re-open on or around September 1, 2008. On August 18, 2008, The Department of Redevelopment will close 8th Avenue to through traffic from 27th to 29th Street.
