On Monday, July 19, 2010, The Department of Redevelopment will begin road construction on New Margaret Avenue, Phase III, This work will include approximately 1,500 linear feet of new terrain roadway on Margaret Avenue, 1,350 linear feet of new terrain roadway on Bill Farr Drive, and 2,500 linear feet of new terrain roadway for the North/South connector road. This work will also include approximately 4,800 linear feet of new sanitary sewer. Traffic will not be affected on old Margaret Avenue. This work will include installation of new sewers, curb and gutter, sidewalks, tree removal and replacement, along with placement of new roadway asphalt. On Monday, July 19, 2010, The Department of Redevelopment opened 26th ,27th ,28th ,and 29th Street to through traffic from 7th Avenue to 8th Avenue, as new street and drainage re-construction has been completed. On Saturday, December 19, 2009, The Department of Redevelopment will open 24th Street from Maple Avenue to Barbour Avenue, as new street re-construction has been completed. If you should have any questions or comments, feel free to contact Dave Walker at 244-2394.
On Thursday, December 3, 2009, The Department of Redevelopment will open 7th Avenue to through traffic from 29th Street to 30th Street and 30th Street from 7th Avenue to 8th Avenue, as new street re-construction has been completed.
